About Will Black
Will provides compassionate, trauma-informed counseling for adolescents and adults navigating life’s challenges, including trauma, substance use, anxiety, compulsive behaviors, and other concerns that can leave people feeling stuck. He believes meaningful change is possible for everyone, regardless of their circumstances, and strives to create a therapeutic space grounded in respect, openness, and warmth.
Will takes a collaborative, person-centered approach, meeting clients where they are without judgment. He recognizes that each person’s experiences shape how they see themselves and the world around them. Together, he and his clients explore these experiences, identify patterns that may no longer serve them, and work toward healing, greater self-understanding, and meaningful change.
His approach incorporates harm reduction and trauma-informed principles, along with practices such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), and somatic mindfulness interventions. Will works with clients as they navigate difficult emotions, examine critical beliefs about themselves, and explore different ways of responding to life’s challenges.
Will’s commitment to this work has been shaped by his experience supporting individuals from diverse backgrounds on their recovery journeys. He believes compassion, connection, and support can help people look beyond experiences that have shaped them and consider what they want for their future.
